The Bank wholly owns 96 HST LLC and One Largo LLC which hold property used for Bank facilities. The Bank was organized in the District of Columbia and began operations in August 1934. The principal business of the Company is to make loans and other investments and to accept time and demand deposits. The Company's primary market areas are in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Newark, NJ, Harlem, NY and surrounding areas of all locations listed. The Bank is certified as a Community Development Financial Institution ("CDFI") by the U.S. Department of Treasury's CDFI Fund and as a Minority Depository Institution by the FDIC. The Company's mission is to promote financial and economic empowerment to diverse communities.

Products and services

The Bank offers a wide array of personal and business deposit products and services such as checking, savings, certificate of deposits, credit cards, insured deposits, cash management, online banking services, mobile banking and nationwide ATM access. The Bank also offers a wide array of lending products and services such as small business loans, SBA, construction, commercial lines of credit and mortgage loans. We are also fully committed to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and offer free development services such as: financial, homeownership, and entrepreneur literacy. We have standardized our own financial literacy curriculum that is used in many different venues to empower and educate youths, adults and seniors in securing financial success.
