March 2024, Western Exploration raised gross proceeds of CAD $6.5M through a non-brokered private placement for the 2024 drilling at the new high-grad discovery adjacent to Gravel Creek. September 2024, Western Exploration raised gross proceeds of CAD $1.7M through a non-brokered private placement for the ongoing advancement of the Doby George resource. This includes moving it to a Prefeasibility study. The Western Exploration team is led by CEO, Darcy Marud. He served as the Senior VP of Exploration and Executive VP of Enterprise Strategy at Yamana as well as senior exploration roles with Homestake Mining Company, FMC Gold Company, and Meridian Gold.
