The Perimeter S-Series OCT device is a pioneering medical imaging system that delivers ultra-high-resolution margin visualization of excised tissue specimens in the operating room by providing cross-sectional images of tissues down to 2 mm depth, with 10-times higher image resolution than standard x-ray and ultrasound. and 100-times higher than MRI. This innovative technology gives physicians the ability to visualize microscopic tissue structures at the point-of-care – during the primary surgery compared to days later when pathology reports are available. Perimeter's Platform includes: • an intraoperative device for automated scanning of the specimen that provides a rapid subsurface map of up to a 10 cm by 10 cm surface area • a specimen handling consumable designed to hold and maintain orientation • a proprietary image library Perimeter is advancing its next-generation machine learning tools and artificial intelligence (“AI”) technology, called “ImgAssist AI,” which has the potential to increase the efficiency of image review and be an additional powerful tool when combined with OCT to aid physicians with real-time margin visualization and assessment.
