ATEX’s primary focus is the 100%-owned Valeriano project, located approximately 125 km east of Vallenar in Chile’s north-central Atacama Region. The project is located approximately 70 kilometres to the south of the emerging Vicuña District (projects include Filo del Sol and Lunahuasi). The Central Andes region in which Valeriano is located is responsible for approximately 40% of global annual copper production, with majority from mines built on giant porphyry deposits. The 2023 Mineral Resource Estimate is estimated at 1.4 billion tonnes at 0.67% CuEq and included a higher-grade core of 200 million tonnes at 0.84% CuEq. Exploration has advanced considerably since, identifying new high grade mineralization above the porphyry and closer to surface, grading over 2% CuEq and expanding in dimensions, and is a priority for future drilling. Results from metallurgical test work have shown potential for high copper and gold recoveries, north of 90%, in producing marketable copper concentrate with low deleterious elements. Agnico Eagle Mines is the largest shareholder of ATEX with ~12% ownership after making a C$55 million investment in October 2024, and mining industry investor Pierre Lassonde also owns ~11% of the company.

ATEX Resources is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, and discovery of mineral properties in South America, with a focus on the Atacama region of Chile. The Company owns a 100% interest in the Valeriano copper-gold project, and is its only material property. The company’s strategy is to create value for its shareholders, partners, stakeholders and people by expanding the currently defined mineral resource at Valeriano, exploring for new discoveries within its licenses and proximal to the currently defined mineralized footprint, of which the outer limits are still undefined, and continue to derisk the engineering, social and environmental aspects of the project. The company intends to attain these goals through further exploration, advancing permitting, commissioning engineering studies, continuing to implement leading ESG practices, and collaborating with its partners to further advance Valeriano as the leading exploration-development project within an emerging porphyry district.
